'DYLAN' was given to me 14 years ago aged 2 yrs. he was funniest dog I had encountered but soon became the most loyalist dog and best friend, amazing watchdog, with oodles of character ... he hated living indoors and chose to sleep under the hedge - even in the snow .... lived off tripe and the occasional live rabbit - he tormented the postman for 13 years so we had the mail re-directed.. i swear he would have waited by my front door for ever if i ever went away .. he loved my horses .. challenged my chickens and stood his ground with the mastifs ... at 16 he lost the use in his off hind and his hearing failed 100% - although his appetite never faltered and the vet was amazed by his healthy gums and teeth. Only last friday Dylan was literally nibbling the hoof off the horses leg as the farrier trimmed it!! we lost Dylan very recently in a tragic accident with a vehicle - never could i of imagined such a broken heart as i have - this little breed is so special that it will always be a part of my life and that of my childrens. we will always have room for this little dog in our lives. we are willing to offer a home to any suitable rescue dogs, and we will also be contacting the registered breeders. Thankyou Schipperke, for being a huge part of our family.
