Schipperke Championship Show 11/5/25

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge your club championship show, I really enjoyed my afternoon and appreciate the lovely gift given to me for judging.

Thank you to those who exhibited their dogs, unfortunately there can only be one winner! The entry was made up of some quality dogs and some decisions were really tough. The sportsmanship was excellent and I appreciate that the exhibitors took my decisions so well.
Please find below my critiques – you will notice that a lot of my critiques sound the same, which happens when you like a particular style of dog. I would comment that overall heads and expressions were great, perhaps a few eyes that were rounder then I like to see. Bodies and movement were good and correct.
The two things I would strongly suggest you watch is to get the correct coat pattern and also the size, while your standard is a weight standard, if they get too tall they start to lose type, Please remember the standard states “Small, cobby, active dog, with sharp foxy expression”

Junior Dog
1st 25 Fullmoon Rise From The Runes (Imp USA) – Well balanced young male, definitely lively & alert, with a good foxy expression. Good size and in very good coat for his age. He moved with a brisk action and carried himself well around the ring.

Special Yearling Dog
1st 14 Django Alpha Nero with Arathorn (Imp Cze) – Excellent type cobby male, very good type. Foxy expression, pleasing head with dark eyes and well set ears. Correct coat texture and good bone and substance. Moved with a brisk action.

Limit Dog
1st 9 Ristine Starry Night (AWG) – Well balanced male of very good type. Pleasing head with foxy expression. Well bodied with well set tail carried over the back. Shown in good coat with correct texture. Brisk moving around the ring.
2nd 15 Undertaker Jet Du Dragon Rouge Du Jupiter (Imp FRA) – Good type male with correct head proportions and well set ears. Very good coat texture, a little longer in body then I like. Moved well on the day.
3rd 12 Chadbower Drew of Ghilgrange – Good size male, shown in good condition. Very pleasing head and expression, with correct eyes and well set ears. Good coat texture and moved well.

Open Dog
1st 6 Ir Ch Zorbaloo Don Julio – Excellent type male shown in great condition. Lively & alert with a correct foxy expression with correct head proportions, well set dark oval eyes and well placed ears that were erect. Cobby body with sufficient bone and substance for his size. Coat in good condition with very good texture. Moved with brisk action, clean fore & aft. Quality dog.
2nd 13 Revloch Fire At Will CJW (IKC) – Very good type male of good size with correct bone and substance. He is in good coat with correct texture. Well bodied with correct topline and tail. Was a bit lazy with his tail on the day. Moved with a brisk action.
3rd 8 Mazal Tov Bestseller (RUS) – Smaller male of good breed type. He had a very foxy expression with dark oval eyes and well set ears. Cobby body with correct topline. Moved with a brisk action.

Special Cream Open Dog
1st 21 Ristine Majical Spice – Cream male of very good type. Foxy expression with dark eyes and well set ears. Correct cobby body with firm topline and well set tail. Moved with a brisk action and showed well on the day.

Champion Dog
1st 24 CH Fullmoon How Do You Like Me Now (Imp USA) – Excellent type male. Correct dark oval eyes and foxy expression with well set ears which he never stopped using. Shown in excellent coat. Correct topline and tail set and he carried his tail well on the stack and move. The shape and make I like and he moved with brisk action. Just a little big for me.
2nd 3 Ch Schipdale A Kind Of Majic ShCEx – Very close decision between 1st place. Excellent type male. Well balanced head with foxy expression, dark eyes and well set ears. Good bone and substance, showin in good condition. Moved brisk – same comment as 1st place – just a little big for me.
Special Veteran Dog
1st 22 Ristine Tweedledee – Well made dog showin in great condition for his age. Foxy expression with dark eyes and well set ears. Cobby body, good topline and tail set, but he didn’t want to carry his tail on the day. Moved with a brisk action.
2nd 5 Ch Stoneyburn Banna VW – Balanced dog in very good condition. Showed well and was lively and alert. Pleasing head with foxy expression, dark eyes and well set ears. Cobby body, but lower set tail and again lazy with it on the day. He moved well.
3rd 1 Fandal’s Viljam at Ridgebrook (Imp FIN) – Nice type, Foxy expression with dark eyes and well set ears. Good head proportions. Good bone and substance, would prefer a firmer topline. Moved well on the day.

Special Vintage Dog
1st 28 Ch Aradet Expert Timing AWS VW – 14 years young! Shown today in excellent condition and he loved his day out. Very good type with well balanced head, dark eyes and correct set ears. Cobby body, good topline considering his age and his tail set was correct . He moved very well with a brisk action.
2nd 4 Ch Aradet Action Man ShCM VW – 11 years young and enjoying his day out. Very good type with correct head and expression, dark eyes and well set ears. Well bodied with correct topline and tail set. Moved with brisk action.

Puppy Bitch
1st 27 Aura Z Letne at Jatesa (Imp CZE) – Very nice type puppy that just needs to mature. Exhibited in good condition. Pleasing head and correct expression. Needs to develop in body. Moved well on the day.
2nd 32 Adria Z Letne for Schipdale (Imp CZE) – Close decision today, I felt 1st place was just a little shorter in back on the day. Very nice type puppy who enjoyed her day out and showed well. Correct coat texture. Good bone and substance, just needs to mature.

Junior Bitch
1st 7 Zorbaloo Chaviva Natania – Promising young girl who needs to mature and grow some hair! Very pleasing head and expression with correct dark eyes and well set ears. Firm topline which she held on the move. Would like to see her when she matures. Moved with a brisk action.
2nd 20 Roopec Made For Me – Another promising young girl and was close decision between 1st & 2nd today. Correct head with well set dark eyes and correct ears. Good body with enough bone. Moved with a brisk action.
3rd 23 Miofrey Majical with Ristine – Good type bitch with pleasing head and expression. Correct coat texture and moved well. Would like her slightly shorter in back.

Special Cream Bitch
1st 29 Ch Komargo Go For Gold – Stunning cream bitch, breed type. Correct head and expression with dark eyes and well set ears that she never stopped using. She was definitely lively & alert. In good coat with correct texture. Correct topline and tail set, cobby body and she moved true fore & aft with a brisk action. Was a very close call for Best of Breed!

Champion Bitch
1st 29 Ch Komargo Go For Gold – as above
2nd 26 Multi Ch Fullmoon Makin Mischief – Another very nice type bitch. Good size and substance with very good bone. Correct shape with good neck and topline. In good coat with correct texture. Moved with a brisk action.

Special Veteran Bitch
1st 18 Ch Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti – Very pleasing head and expression with dark eyes and well set ears. Cobby body with good topline and tail set. In good condition for her age and she loved being a show girl today. Moved with a brisk action.
2nd 31 Stoneyburn Maia – Sister to 3rd place and was a tough decision. This bitch is very pleasing type with a lovely head & expression. She is in good condition with very good coat and correct texture. Well bodied and good bone. Well set tail.
3rd 30 Stoneyburn Arbeia – Could pretty much copy 2nd place critiques – except this girl did not want to use her ears. She was happy to move around the ring with a correct brisk action.
