Schipperke Club Championship Show – 22 October 2017

May I start by thanking all the exhibitors for their entry and accepting the placings generously appreciating the fact that we had three different types of mentoring taking place for the JCF Pilot. To the officers and committee, a special thank you for taking this all in your stride enabling me to enjoy a lovely day.

Minor Puppy Dog (1)
1. Wilson’s Chadbower Nevan Henkimit – This 6 month lad took my eye with his out-going attitude as he entered the ring showing his excellent shape, balance and size. Head properties very good for age would just prefer a darker eye. Tail set and carriage very good. Movement excellent all round. Just needs time to develop. Best Minor Puppy & Best Puppy in Show.

Puppy Dog (1)
1. Forknall’s Avidore Putting On The Style – 91/2 months not quite as compact as the minor puppy dog but with excellent shoulder placement. Very good tail carriage. Head properties very good but I would prefer a better shaped eye. I found this boy finer which showed in his movement.

Special Yearling Dog (3,1 abs)
1. Collier’s Stoneyburn Banna – 23 months with excellent balance and shape. Head shape and lines pleased however I would prefer a darker eye. Good tail and set. Good demarcation to coat. Movement pleased from all angles.
2. Massey’s Ristine Tweedledee – Not quite the balance if 1 with movement confirming construction. Shoulder placement pleased with good width to front quarters. Head properties need to develop and ears could be smaller. Coat demarcation good.

Post Graduate Dog (3,1 abs)
1. Brooks & Davis’ Deakie Donnie Dinnie – I found this boy on top size however everything is in its right place with movement showing an excellent front I just wished the hind was as good today. Head properties very good with good eye colour and shape.
2. Smith’s Ristine Black Sabbeth – Smaller than 1 with excellent shape and balance and good tail set. Movement good. Head properties neat I would prefer a darker eye. Ears of lovely shape and set.

Limit Dog (5)
1. Massey’s Ristine Jack Black – What a pity this boy had girls on his mind which affected his performance but still allowed him sufficient to win this class. Excellent balance, shape and tail set. Very good coat demarcation. Head properties and lines very good I would just prefer a slightly better eye shape.
2. Rollinson’s Fandal’s Un Amor For Chadbower – what a showman. For me not quite the balance of 1 but this boy has excellent head properties, ear shape and placement. Tail set good. Movement satisfied.
3. Butters Roopec Admire Me – 4yr gold. With good general balance and shape which shows in his movement. Head properties excellent with ok eye to coat colour. Lacked the barrel rib giving the pear-shaped body.
4. Muggleton’s Aradet Wizard of Oz Amongst Mywulf.
5. Brooks Fandal’s Viljam at Ridgebrook.

Open Dog (3)
1. Thorne’s Ch Schipdale Lewis – This lad has matured into a true Schipperke male with excellent shape, balance and his all-round movement which is so typical. In full coat with excellent demarcation to show. The tail is of good length and carriage. Head properties and lines excellent I also liked his eye shape and colour with good ear carriage. A quality male. Dog CC & Best in Show.
2. Mance’s Ryeman Robin – Not quite the shape of 1 however has excellent movement and bone. Head properties very good but would prefer cleaner lines. Tail carriage and set good. Res. Dog CC and Res. Best in Show.
3. Fludder’s Ch. Aradet Xtra Addition – Excellent showman, smaller than 1st & 2nd. Movement, bone and tail set very good. Head properties pleased but I found this lad to have such neat lines it gave the impression of being feminine and almost toy like compared to the other males here today.

A.O.C Open Dog (3,1 abs)
1. Moore & Noch’s Ch. Chadbower Finlay for Blitzstan – A good showman with a lovely neck. Movement very good from all angles with good bone. Head properties very good however he is just starting to show loose of pigment to the nose and chin. Ear set very good. Best Coloured in Show.
2. Roopec Admire Me.

Veteran Dog over 10 years (2)
1. Wilson’s Ch. Aradet Off The Chart at Lyncathmor – Excellent balance, shape and health for age. Movement excellent on the day from all angles. Head properties, with eye colour, ear shape and placement excellent. Best Veteran Dog
2. Manners Komargo’s Crazy Diamond at Roopec – Very good balance and shape where movement confirmed construction. Head properties pleased.

Good Citizens Dog (1)
1. Phillpot’s Ch Aradet Expert Timing – I have awarded this boy a CC before however today I found the younger boys just had the edge. Excellent shape and balance with good all-round movement. Tail length and carriage very good. Head properties and ear placement excellent. Eye shape excellent but would prefer a slightly darker eye.

Junior Handling 6 – 11 years
1. Francesca Wilson – a confident handler at such a young age and knew where her charge was at all times and what was wanted of both herself and her model. Francesca needed to work just that little bit harder to get what was needed and achieved this ensuring her as Best Junior Handler.

Junior Handler 12 – 16 years
1. Leah Scales – On top of her game where this young lady finds it easy at all times. Her model knew what to do and really did not need any guidance.

Minor Puppy Bitch (1)
1. Manners Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti – Excellent shape and balance, needs to develop both front and hind quarters to help her movement. Tail-set excellent. Head properties very good for age and she has very good ear placement.

Puppy Bitch (1)
1. Moore & Noch’s Ristine Lunar Eclipse for Blitzstan – Good shape, neck and tail set. Head properties need to develop. Would prefer better depth of muzzle and eye shape. Movement confirmed construction

Junior Bitch (2,1 abs)
1. Paterson’s Turnlaw Sweet Nothings – An honest schipperke with a good general shape for age. Very good tail carriage. I liked her head properties for age but she just needs to develop and I would prefer a darker eye. Coat texture excellent being very close knit.

Special Yearling Bitch (1)
1. Reed’s Stoneyburn Arbeia – Movement confirmed construction. Head properties very good with a lighter eye colour than I would prefer. Good tail set. Coat texture excellent as was the demarcation.

Post Graduate Bitch (2)
1. Thorne’s Komargo Faithful Fiona at Schipdale – This is a young lady that is taking her time in development and especially needs to deepen in chest. Excellent tail length and carriage. Head properties pleased as did her ear placement. Movement very good both front and hind quarters.
2. Muggleton’s Mywulf Ruby Red – Not the general balance of 1 and this would improve with a better shoulder placement. Tail placement good. Head properties and ear placement pleased.

Limit Bitch (6)
1. Millar’s Abylity Nina’s Celtic Queen of Turnlaw (imp) – This lady has matured nicely with age showing a lovely barrel to her ribs and this has improved her shape immensely. Coat texture and demarcation excellent. Movement excellent which showed in her construction showing an intensely
lively and alert Schipperke. Head properties pleased but would prefer not so much stop and front skull. Pushed hard for CC today but was pleased to award her Res. Bitch CC
2. Donaldson’s Zorbaloo Concrete Blonde – Excellent balance and shape with pleasing head properties, movement and good tail set. I would have preferred better pigment and front bone.
3. Rollinson’s Chadbower Islay Skye – Not quite the balance of 1 and 2. Head properties pleased but would prefer a darker eye. Movement confirming construction.
4. Wearing’s Aradet Xotic Dancer.
5. Reed’s Schojan Misdemeanour at Stoneyburn.

Open Bitch (4)
1. McKenna & Forknall’s Aradet Black Orchid – Quality. Took my eye immediately. This lass stands firm and fore square with excellent balance and shape also showing her strong body shape and excellent bone. Movement was excellent when viewed from all angles. Close coat with excellent
texture. Very good tail set. Head properties and lines very good would prefer more depth of muzzle. Ear size in proportion to size. Pleased to award this lady her 3rd CC and Best Opposite Sex.
2. Donaldsons Ch Zorbaloo The Black Ice – Excellent balance and shape. Not the movement and bone of 1. Very good head properties and tail carriage.
3. Ch/Am Ch Ebornorth Never On Sunday (imp) – A real showgirl. Movement confirmed construction. Very good ear shape and placement
4. Fellows Nocte Almerina at Blackshuck.

Open A.O.C. Bitch (1)
1. Forknall’s Schojan Reve D’or at Avidore – General make and shape very good standing foresquare with good barrelled rib. Pleasing head properties.

Veteran Bitch under 10 years (2)
1. Forknall’s Ch. Avidore Hot Gossip – Stands fore-square with very good balance and shape. Tight tail and good set. Very good movement front and rear. Excellent head properties and depth of muzzle but would prefer a darker eye. Ear set and shape very good. Best Veteran in Show.
2. Donaldson’s Ch. Carozza Athena – lost to 1 on balance and shape. Movement very good both front and rear. Head properties lovely lines and feminine. Good size of ear.

Veteran Bitch over 10 years (0)

Good Citizens Bitch (1)
1. Reed’s Stoneyburn Maia – Quality. I strongly considered this girl for top honours but just found that she needs to develop in depth of chest. Very good balance and shape with very good movement all round. Tail well set. Head properties pleased for age would prefer slightly smaller ears.

Brace (1)
